CATIE CURTIS (Josephine) has been dubbed "a folk rock goddess" by the New Yorker, with a voice described by the Washington Post as, "...so pure in pitch and so rich in tone, it seems to glow." With four albums to her credit (including this year's "My Shirt Looks Good On You," her second release for Rykodisc), Catie Curtis is fast becoming one of the most acclaimed and commercially successful singer-songwriters of our time. She has toured nationally with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tracy Chapman, Dar Williams, and the Lilith Fair. The role of Josephine, Jesus' forgotten father-figure mother, represents a new challenge for Curtis who played Miss Cambridge, an exaggerated variation of herself, in last year's "Miss Folk America."
