SEAN STAPLES (Jesus) is a prominent presence on the Boston/Cambridge roots rock scene. When not writing for or performing with his own bluegrassesque band The Resophonics, he can be found playing mandolin with cowpunk heroes Jabe, The Benders, and The Ex-boyfriends. Sean originated his soft-spoken, 'aw shucks' characterization of Jesus Christ in Faith Soloway's original cabaret-production of "Jesus Has Two Mommies" at Club Passim. Despite his best intentions, Staples often plays the most good-natured character in Soloway's shows, even when portraying a devious folk villain as he did in "Miss Folk America."
